Feature module (21 controls)

NBA 2K26 Attributes Changer

The attributes module is a full build editor on the menu. Each rating has its own slider so you can tune a guard, wing, or big for Park, Rec, or MyCareer without replaying the grind.

Attributes controls

  • Close Shot

Rating for finishes and hooks near the basket. Higher values help lay-ins and post hooks convert when you already have position.

  • Driving Layup

Rating for finishing while moving toward the rim off the dribble. Pairs with ball handle when you attack closeouts in Park.

  • Driving Dunk

Rating for dunk packages while driving. Matters when you take off from the perimeter or on a fast break.

  • Standing Dunk

Rating for putbacks and standing flush dunks under the rim. Useful for bigs cleaning up offensive boards in Rec.

  • Post Control

Rating for backing down, post spins, and staying on your spot in the paint against physical defenders.

  • Mid Range Shot

Rating for pull-ups and spot-ups from inside the arc. A separate slider from three point and close shot.

  • Three Point Shot

Rating for shots behind the arc. Does not replace Auto Green timing in main options; it changes the underlying rating.

  • Free Throw

Rating for the line. Useful when Rec games come down to one trip after a intentional foul.

  • Pass Accuracy

Rating for hitting cutters and skip passes on the money. Higher values reduce wild outlets on the break.

  • Ball Handle

Rating for dribble stability under pressure. Pairs with speed with ball when you iso at the top of the key.

  • Speed With Ball

Rating for how fast you move while dribbling. Distinct from plain speed when you push transition after a board.

  • Interior Defense

Rating for contesting at the rim and holding ground in the paint against drives and post hooks.

  • Perimeter Defense

Rating for staying in front on the perimeter and fighting through screens on the wing.

  • Steal

Rating for ripping dribblers and passing-lane strips. Higher values help on-ball pressure builds in Park.

  • Block

Rating for rim protection and chase-down attempts. Separate from interior defense on the published list.

  • Offensive Rebound

Rating for second-chance boards on your own misses and tip opportunities under the rim.

  • Defensive Rebound

Rating for closing out a possession with the board. Pairs with block and interior defense on big builds.

  • Speed

Rating for straight-line speed without the ball. Distinct from speed with ball and from agility on cuts.

  • Agility

Rating for lateral quickness and direction changes off the dribble or on closeouts.

  • Strength

Rating for backing down defenders and finishing through contact in the paint.

  • Vertical

Rating for jump height on dunks, blocks, and rebounds at the rim.

Twenty sliders, one build at a time

Every rating on the published list is its own slider. You are not picking a preset archetype; you are setting each value the menu names. That means a two-way guard and a paint beast are both possible from the same tab, but a max-everything build reads wrong in Rec and wastes sliders you never use.

Attribute changes are local to your session through the menu. They do not replace badge unlocks in main options or timing in Auto Green. Think of attributes as the numbers and main options as what others see and how you release.

Shooting sliders vs Auto Green

Close shot, mid range, three point, and free throw change your underlying ratings. Auto Green in main options assists the timing window when you actually release. A high three point slider does not green a contested shot by itself, and Auto Green does not raise a rating that is still at default on the attributes tab.

Most people settle shooting sliders first in MyCareer, then add Auto Green once the build feels right on paper. The forum thread on attributes covers which sliders matter most for Park versus Rec.

Defense and athleticism for online runs

Interior defense, perimeter defense, steal, and block cover different parts of a possession. Speed, agility, strength, and vertical cover movement. Rebounding splits offensive and defensive boards so you can tune a glass cleaner without maxing both if you never crash on offense.

There is no single best sheet. A lockdown wing maxes perimeter defense and agility. A rim runner maxes vertical, block, and driving dunk. Save each finished build as its own config so you are not re-sliding twenty values before every mode switch.

What the attributes module does not include

There is no badge editor, no takeover selector, and no height or wingspan changer on the published list. These twenty sliders are the whole module. Max badges visible to everyone is in main options, not here.

NBA 2K26 Attributes Changer questions

Do attribute sliders replace Auto Green?

No. Sliders change your ratings. Auto Green in main options assists release timing on the shot meter.

Can I max every slider at once?

The menu lets you set each published slider independently. Whether that is wise in Rec is a different question. Most people tune a role, not every category.

Are attributes the same as Max Badges?

No. Attributes are rating sliders. Max badges (visible to everyone) is a toggle in main options that affects what other players see on your badge layout.

Which attributes matter most in Park?

It depends on your role. The forum thread on attributes walks through common builds for guards, wings, and bigs without pretending one sheet fits every play style.
